Happy New Year from the USA Futsal Federation!
On behalf of the USAFF Executive Leadership Team we wish all members a happy and joyous New Year. 2023 is shaping up to be a great year filled with growth, new events, and activity. We are looking forward to the Annual Members Address which will take place in Philidelphia, on 13 January 2023. Pak USA Futsal Partnership was just announced by the USA Futsal Federation (USAFF) and the Pakistan Soccer Futsal Federation (PSFF). In a historic meeting in New York City, Pakistan Futsal Federation President Hazrat Ali Khan and the USA Futsal Federation President, Mark Edward Brown met to move the sport forward for their countries.
This historic meeting was made possible by several important people who are working hard to grow the sport of Futsal. All involved want to forge stronger ties through sport between both countries.
Those gentlemen are: Mr. Usman Ishfaq who is the Secretary General of the USAFF and dual citizen of the USA and Pakistan. Mr. Malik Adnan also from the PSFF, and Mr. Naseem Khan Alizai (not pictured) of the Pakistan House all pictured below:

Futsal is recognized around the world as a sport that is great exercise for Men, Women, and youth alike. Both leaders of the USAFF and PSFF agree that their countries national teams will benefit from this agreement. This agreement also benefits club and local leagues for athletes of all skill levels. Passion for the sport, goodness, and a desire to give more opportunities to play is their combined goal.
When asked how he feels about this historic moment, Mr. Mark E. Brown had this to say: “building new partnerships is critical to growing the sport of Futsal. Forming new friendships in our combined international communities is crucial for our youth as well. To leave them a better foundation from which to build into the future is always our goal and what we strive for every day. My sincere thanks to these distinct gentlemen for their efforts and for our new relationship!”
Macron and The USA Futsal Federation to partner for Futsal excellence and growth in the USA and beyond. The USA Futsal Federation (USAFF) has signed a sponsorship agreement with Macron High Performance Sportswear to be the exclusive uniform and sportswear provider for all events and activities.
Macron’s mission is to work hard to create cutting-edge, high-performance sportswear to support athletes from grassroots to professionals in their efforts to become their own hero on and off the field.
The President of The USA Futsal Federation, Mr. Mark E. Brown had this to say about this strategic partnership; “The USAFF and Macron’s values line-up perfectly and I like that they strongly believe in hard work and constant improvement. Much like our daily operating mantra, they like to work hard and play harder. I believe Macron and the USAFF will make a noticeable impact in the world of Futsal both in the USA as well as on the international, world stage!”
Macron’s company name is derived from the Greek prefix “makro”, the first element of compound words, in which it holds the meaning of “large”. The word was adapted to “MACRON”, contrary to the unit of measurement “micron”, to convey an idea of great magnitude. It is pronounced with an accent on the letter A.

The USAFF is rebounding from a small set-back and it’s a long story. Despite that fact I will explain more about what has happened. Over the past 5 years the USA Futsal Federation has grown at a steady and deliberate pace. We did not want to grow too fast, and we surely did not want to grow too slow. There were times when a potential state level director or team committed to joining the USAFF only to back out without an explanation.
The last year, however, was the most challenging which I will explain. There was a legal battle with an amateur organization that wanted to copy the USAFF. A major social media channel that took all of our content offline during a World Cup event in Paraguay. Recently a hacker caused a complete meltdown of the server that our old website was on. To make matters worse, the hosting company attempted to blame us for the fact that their security was sub-par.
Through it all we have remained committed to the goal of providing players at all levels with a pathway to play futsal from the local level to the world stage. Our world class international Futsal World Cup events cannot be duplicated. That is just one of the reasons we work hard for all members of the USAFF.
The entire USAFF family from the executive leadership to the national team, and pro league staffs are steadfast in continuing our growth at on an even bigger scaled than before. We have new leaders preparing to join the USAFF family as well as new states joining which will make regional play even better. We are in negotiations with new sponsors that will provide more resources for teams at all levels to enjoy futsal at all levels like never before.
To top it all off we have 3 international events coming up very soon which will take place in Mexico, Columbia, and Chile. It feels good to know that we went through all that drama to be blessed with new sponsors, partners, leaders, and talented athletes that will represent the USAFF well into the future.
